Grace Wolf, Photographer/Pin up Artist: "I have had an infatuation with art for as long as I have been able to hold a pencil. In roughly 25 years, I have explored so many different mediums varying from the classics, (watercolor, acrylic, ink, block printing) to the newer forms of art, (fashion design/creation, graphic design) and have finally found myself, at the present, in photography. Although, I offer many different types of photography, I'm all about the Vintage Pin Up. What makes me different from other pinup artists is that my Vintage Pin Ups may start as a photograph. But, with manipulation in Photoshop, they end up looking painted and like they fell out of a vintage calendar. I love the concept of taking your average housewife, with help from makeup artist Victoria Mather, transforming her (and her self confidence) into Marilyn Monroe, or Bette Paige, someone they have always loved.”

Saturday Feb 6, 2009 - 3 pm to 7 pm, Model/Photography Workshop with Todd Church: Held at the Presbyterian Church on Westminster Dr.
This is an opportunity to work with posing and lighting people in a comfortable setting.
Feel free to bring lighting, backgrounds, and props.
This is a very good exercise to get your photography skills up to speed.
Club members are admitted free of charge.

A lecture style class, where you will learn by example, the powerful uses built into Photoshop Elements, both organizer tools and the full editor. Bring your laptop with Photoshop Elements and follow along, or take notes.

11th Annual Student Photography Competition
For students in grades 9-12 in Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Leelanau, and Wexford County.
Congratulations to all the winners! We thank you for contributing and for the cooperation of all involved. The quality of the submissions and the talent exhibited by the work of our area students impressed the Judges and the Traverse Area Camera Club. There were double the entries from last year. Stats: 434 Entries from 16 area High Schools.
A special thank you to the judges: Don Rutt, Jason Hamelin and Todd McMillen.
